What’s different about this Oktoberfest run ?
This is the Official Oktoberfest-themed run, happening during the Oktoberfest Festival. It is both competitive, with prizing for various age groups, as well as a family-friendly fun run for runners/walkers of all ages. We encourage runners to come dressed wearing their favorite Oktoberfest outfits and we offer a unique Oktoberfest experience throughout the event.
What is the course like ?
The course is point-to-point and follows the KW Oktoberfest Thanksgiving Day parade route, starting in Kitchener and ending in Waterloo. It is relatively flat, with only a few small hills and a couple of turns near the start and finish line. You can expect to have 1000’s of spectators cheering you on, as well as official cheer stations along the route ! The run will commence at Borden Avenue N. and Weber Street E. near Knollwood Park and the route this year will be 100% on Weber Street from Kitchener to Waterloo.
Is there an age limit ?
No, but there is a time limit of approximately 1 hr before participants may be required to step off the route, as the parade starts at approximately 8:30 AM
Are walkers welcome ?
Yes, but a maximum time limit of approximately 1 hr is allowed before participants may be required to step off the route, as the parade starts at approximately 8:30 AM
Are strollers, roller blades or bikes allowed ?
Strollers are allowed, but we would ask that you start towards the back. Unfortunately, for safety reasons, roller blades and bikes are not allowed
Are pets allowed ?
Can I register on the day of the run ?
Yes you can, as long as space is still available. Registration forms will be available at Moses Springer Arena (parking lot) starting at 6 AM on race day.
What should I wear ?

You will also receive an Oktoberfest t-shirt (register before Sept 21st to be guaranteed a shirt) with your kit to wear if you want. Prizes will be awarded for best costume.
